Rosa GarciaRosa Garcia was born on January 31st, 1981 in the Dominican Republic. At the age of 9 she migrated to the US. Rosa Garcia is a go getter, a mother to 2 girls, and a daughter raised by a single mom.

Many know her by her name and others by her contagious smile.

Where others see obstacles, she sees a new path, she was able to do just that with the historic Bruckner Bar and Grill for which she worked for since 2007. In 2012 after Hurricane Sandy left establishment inoperable and many were forced to shut their doors on their business, leaving the community destitute of commerce, but Rosa saw an opportunity. She viewed it not as a challenge but an opportunity to recreate and she did just that.

Now operating under the Mott Haven Bar and Grill , Rosa has successfully reopened the doors to members of the community to bring new life into the community. For the last 4 years she has provided meals to over 500 families in need during Thanksgiving. She is now an active Member of the Bronx Boy Scouts of America, Community Board 1, Hostos Golf Outing Committee where they focus on making the neighborhood a better place.

In 2017, she opened Mott Haven On The Go, a food truck concept and Mott Haven Events, the catering and venue hospitality business of Mott Haven Hospitality Group (MHHG). As President and CEO of MHHG, Rosa’s emphasis is on continuing the trend of innovation and creating new concepts while strategically growing existing successful concepts.

Over the coming months and years, MHHG will continue to focus on the development of restaurants, cafes, event venues, lounges and bars while offering outstanding food and hospitality. Right now she is consulting 2 restaurants, Mott Haven Bagel & Casa Clema. She also just initiated a Campaign called #IAMME under her company 31 Agency as of July 31st, 2018. The #IAMME Campaign was created to build a community that uplifts and uphold those that have cultivated their authentic power after defeat. This is dedicated to all who choose to live in light after stepping out of the shadows of societal standards.

Aside from being a mother of two, a successful business owner and community activist, she is working on getting another degree at Hostos Community College. When she is not on the job or spending time with her two daughters, Rosa enjoys working out and training for marathons.
