Bumbly is a talented singer and songwriter that was selected as a Season 17 contestant and top 20 finalists on American Idol. Born and raised in the Washington Heights section of New York City, by a single mother from the Dominican Republic “La Abejita,” honed her creative talent as a New York City subway singer and credits her singing skills to her mother.
Bumbly has received several honors throughout her career. Recently she was selected as Dominican Community Ambassador by the New York City Dominican Republic Parade committee and was honored during the parade as a “Rising Female Voice Star.”
She sings her original songs with her ukulele playing with musical influences such as Latin, pop, reggae, and jazz. Katy Perry defines her sound as a Shakira meets Lilly Allen! Her sweet voice shares a beautiful collection of stories of romance, heartbreak, self-love, and human empowerment.
Since American Idol, she has been in production of her forthcoming album titled “Miel de Rosas”(Rose Honey). Bumbly believes that, “life is what you make of the blessings or lessons,” and she captures the lessons and blessings beautifully in her poetic artistry.
